Restorative justice has myriad benefits for both social worker(s) and client(s). RJ is the foundation for restorative practices which focus on building connection and community, addressing and healing harm, working through conflict and improving relationships, and accountability through community engagement and support. In this introductory course, you will learn the principles and guiding values of restorative approaches before applying newly learned skills in various social work contexts. This is a course to learn, practice and reflect.
This introductory CEU course is three hours long and will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the School of Social Work on the UGA Campus (Room 241). The course costs $100, with scholarship support available upon request.
